MLK Labor Endorses Zachary DeWolf for Seattle City Council in District 3

DeWolf is the candidate with the best chance to achieve pro-worker policy in Seattle

(SEATTLE) — MLK Labor delegates, which are composed of several hundred rank-and-file union members and leaders, voted to endorse Zachary DeWolf for the Seattle City Council in District 3.

This follows endorsements earlier in the year for Lisa Herbold (D1), Andrew Lewis (D4), Debora Juarez (D5), and Emily Myers (D7). MLK Labor will be considering endorsements in all districts throughout the election cycle.

MLK Labor Executive Secretary-Treasurer Nicole Grant had the following statement on Zachary DeWolf:

“Zach DeWolf is the candidate that best represents the working class in District 3. Zach has been a champion for educators and union construction workers while on the Seattle School Board. We’re ready to hit the doors in D3 to talk to our fellow union members about why Zach is the best candidate to bring about meaningful pro-worker policy in Seattle.”

Zachary DeWolf had the following statement on the MLK Labor endorsement:

“It is time for a new era of leadership in our city. I’m humbled by the MLK Labor Council’s endorsement because they know that my record, my fierce commitment to unions, and my collaborative approach to pass good public policy for workers, families, the environment, and young people is the type of leadership our city needs right now!”
