Teamsters Van Huynh Crowned King Co. Worker of the Year

Teamsters Local 117’s Van Huynh was crowned King County’s Worker of the Year at the first-ever Labor Prom. Huynh scored over 45,000 online votes from his fellow Teamster union members and family, topping 17 other rank-and-file candidates. Huynh is a shop steward at the Coca Cola bottling plant in Renton.

In addition to Van Huynh, five other rank-and-file union members were recognized on the Labor Court. Rounding out the labor court was: Paula Reed (Teamsters 174), Tzur Wilfand (Amalgamated Transit Union 587), Paige Sechrest (UAW 4121), Thara Cooper (Highline Education Association), and Eric Vane (Electrical Workers 46)
