Labor of Love Awardee

King County Equity Now | Seattle, WA

King County Equity Now formed following the fallout from COVID-19 and its disproportionate toll on the state’s Black community. Their platform centers around community ownership of land, along with acquiring funding to address the root of inequities.

In less than one year, they have emerged as a leading voice anti-racism work in Seattle and King County. Their work is centered in art and focuses on three areas: Black advocacy, Black policy, and Black research.
