Decriminalize Seattle | Seattle, WA

Decriminalize Seattle is a coalition that builds power in Seattle to invest in pro-community, pro-people initiatives and divest from policing and the criminal legal system. In addition to their work on police abolition, they work on issues around housing, non-coercive social services, and green jobs.

Their demands are:

1. Defund the Seattle Police Department by at least 50%
2. Reallocate those funds to community-led health and safety systems
3. Release protestors arrested during this uprising without charges

Decriminalize Seattle uses art and creativity to advance their demands at every step. The activists in Decriminalize Seattle are young, BIPOC, trans and working-class and include rank and file members.
