Janus Decision Likely on Monday
The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on the Janus v. AFSCME case will likely happen this Monday, and will certainly come in the next week.
The day it happens, we’ll find out between 7 and 8 a.m. and Field Mobilization teams from several public-employee unions are planning to have a Coordinated Day of Action response that will include solidarity rallies from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. that day at the following locations:
- Seattle: Harborview Medical Center, 325 9th Ave., Seattle, WA 98104
- Everett: Worker’s Memorial Courtyard (by the Snohomish County Courthouse) facing Wetmore Ave.
- Olympia: (Mondays only, starting at 2 p.m.) — State Capitol, 416 Sid Snyder Ave. SW, Olympia, WA, 98504
- Tacoma: Federal Courthouse, 1717 Pacific Ave, Tacoma, WA 98402
It’s very important that on the day of the Janus decision we control the message and show our solidarity. The solidarity rallies’ theme is “Together We Rise!” Hashtags are #TogetherWeRise #UnionStrong and #ThisIsWhyImUnion.
Remember, nobody can tell workers how strong their unions are going to be.
