Rally At The Westin Seattle — 4 PM Today
Hotel workers at the Westin Seattle have been in negotiations for a new union contract since June and are fighting to make one job enough to live in Seattle, raise our families, and retire with dignity.
In September, Westin workers voted 98% to authorize a strike. Marriott workers in Boston, San Francisco, San Diego, San Jose, Oakland, Detroit, Maui, and Honolulu are now on open-ended strikes.
Today at 4 PM, union tradeswomen from the Women Build Nations Conference and members of the community are rallying alongside housekeepers, cooks, dishwashers, servers, and other Westin hotel workers. As bargaining plays out inside the hotel, we will show our solidarity and power in the street outside.
