What you will be working on:

  • In collaboration with the ECE program, design, instruct, and assess assigned courses in a manner that promotes student success and multicultural perspectives.
  • Teach courses in Spanish and English offered on campus and through hybrid and online modalities, on scheduled days and/or times, including on evenings and/or weekends
  • Participate in active and ongoing reflection on and application of anti-racist, anti-bias adult teaching practices grounded in theories and research
  • Consult with students in areas of faculty expertise.
  • Participate in program marketing and student recruitment activities that are effective for diverse populations.
  • Contribute to program development and revision of curriculum that reflect advances in the field of early childhood education and the program's commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racist work.
  • Attend and participate in regular department, division and college meetings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with early learning programs and schools, and expand those where appropriate.
  • Contribute to grant-funding proposal development.
