Job Summary/Basic Function:
Nestled between the scenic Cascade Mountains and Puget Sound in an increasingly diverse and fast-growing region of the country, Everett Community College is seeking a tenure-track English instructor to begin serving in the Fall quarter of 2022.

Primary responsibilities for the full time Criminal Justice instructor include teaching criminal justice classes through a variety of lecture, discussion, demonstration, group work, written assignment, technology-based, distance learning, and collaborative formats. As the only full time faculty member in Criminal Justice, the successful candidate will also be asked to serve as department chair, working closely with the Public Safety Program Director to schedule and assign classes and to respond to student concerns.
Through our Guided Pathways Advising model, full-time faculty also serve as program advisors for students. Faculty in these areas are assigned a caseload each year in line with the AFT Faculty Contract. These duties include, but are not limited to, building and maintaining professional relationships with advisees to support them in their goals, creating, reviewing and approving academic plans; providing career and/or transfer advice; and making referrals to appropriate EvCC support services.
