On behalf of the constituency groups of the AFL-CIO, Legacy of Equality, Leadership & Organizing (LELO), and the Poor People’s Campaign, we invite you to our Labor Day Teach-In Webinar on Saturday, September 5 from 10 am-noon to learn and discuss the intersectionality of the labor movement and the fight for racial justice. This format will be a zoom online meeting. Register with the following link https://bit.ly/315uqYg.
We are currently living in an unprecedented time and have the momentum to recreate what our norm should be. To commemorate Labor Day this year, the constituency groups of the AFL-CIO, LELO, and Poor People’s Campaign will host a teach-in and discussion about how the fight for workers’ rights is also a racial justice issue.
We know that no one movement is exclusive from each other and we must understand the parallels of fighting for workers’ rights and racial equality in order to uplift those who have been historically disenfranchised. We will hear from front-line essential workers and have a discussion on how these movements must join forces to not only win this election but continue the strength and power in the future.
We hope you are able to join us. If you have any questions, please contact apalawa@gmail.com
