Everett Community College is seeking a part-time instructor to teach ART 228D - The World of Anime and Manga beginning Summer quarter 2022.
- Introduces the history, culture, and creators who developed anime & manga: Japanese animation and comics. Examines the reciprocal influences between Japanese and Western artists to understand how anime and manga have become transnational mediums. Engages with critical themes, including stereotyping, prejudice, discrimination, and gender bias.
- Prepare course materials, including a syllabus, web content, and examinations.
- Identify and implement procedures/techniques to assess individual student learning.
