Everett Community College is seeking to build a pool of qualified applicants interested in teaching Computer Information Systems evening classes. Our program is seeking industry professionals that are interested in teaching a few classes a year that align with their full-time work in the field. Our goal is to compliment our range of courses that cover industry certifications with the most current experience that a full time IT professional provides.
This position reports to the Dean of Business and Applied Technology and will teach courses that map to leading industry certifications that include but are not limited to Microsoft, CompTIA, and Cisco.
You will be assigned on a course-by-course basis, aligned with your current certifications, work experience, and academic preparation.
All associate faculty are responsible for course content delivery to meet student learning objectives and program outcomes and to evaluate student abilities related to the coursework. Additionally, where applicable, lab management is an expectation. Faculty fulfill all other duties and responsibilities in accordance with the faculty contract and college policy.
The Everett CIS program focuses on graduating students with skills to enter the workforce in IT careers including help tech technician, system administrators, network administrators, security support, and related positions.
You do not need to be broadly qualified to be considered for part-time positions. We are seeking multiple instructors within their area of expertise to ensure student content and lectures are up to date and relevant with current industry trends, tools, and technologies.
