Position Summary:
Full-time position for our Homeless Program in Mt. Vernon. We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, self-directed individual who is responsible for ensuring individuals who are homeless (including migrants) have access to quality health care. This includes primary health care (including preventive health and dental care), substance abuse (drugs and alcohol) treatment and counseling, and mental health services. Individual will make all efforts to reduce barriers to care which includes case management services such as assistance with entitlement applications, translations, referrals for shelter, employment and job training, among others.
This person must be a self-starter, team player, dependable and has excellent customer service skills. Must be organized and with demonstrated ability to identify, initiate and coordinate special projects of various sizes. Individual must be at ease with homeless and migrant populations as position requires outreach at shelters and migrant camps. Individual must be flexible with work schedule in order to best meet client needs (periodic weekends and/or weeknights required). May be asked to travel to Bellingham on occasions.
